Amit Mishra to be off the hook?
The cricketer has apologised for allegedly assaulting her
Bengaluru: Bollywood producer Vandana Jain, who had filed an assault case against cricketer Amit Mishra, has reportedly decided to withdraw her complaint. It is said that the cricketer has apologised for allegedly assaulting her and thus she has decided to withdraw the complaint filed with the Ashoknagar police.
In a telephonic interview given to a TV channel, she said that she was upset after the incident and filed a police complaint. “However, as he has apologised and is feeling sorry for his act, I have decided to withdraw the complaint. We are friends for the last three years and there are certain things which need to be clarified between us. As there are certain legal procedures to be followed to withdraw a complaint, I am waiting for him to come to the city,” she said.
She said she would continue being friends with the cricketer and her decision to withdraw the case was not due to any pressure. The police said that it was left to the complainant whether to take the case further or to withdraw the complaint.
