Vijayawada: The much hyped and awaited foundation stone laying ceremony for the state capital Amaravati marked the start of construction for the capital city on October 22 with the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi laying the first stone.
The APCRDA officials are gearing up for the major task of construction of nine cities including buildings, roads, bridges and others as per plan.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu earlier said that a detailed master plan was sought from Singapore after which nine cities and the education city would be realised first. He also said that selecting the master developer and Amaravati development partners would be done soon after the foundation ceremony through methods like Swiss Challenge.
The officials of APCRDA are gearing up to the major task of synchronising the design provided by the Singapore government with the local land survey data.
