Govinda is cordial with Varun Dhawan

There once was a time when Govinda and David Dhawan were truly the “jodi no. 1” of Bollywood — they created a string of superhits in their inimitable style. Off screen, the actor and the filmmaker were close friends. But over the years, their equation turned sour and the two haven’t been on talking terms for a while — leading the industry to believe that the duo will never work together again.

But the bitterness doesn’t seem to have passed on to the next generation. In fact, Govinda and David’s son Varun Dhawan share a cordial relationship. They’ve met on a few occasions, and Govinda has always been very friendly with Varun.

“Varun doesn’t know exactly what went wrong between his father and Govinda, but when he bumped into Govinda, they had a very cordial conversation. Govinda didn’t mention a word about David.”
Clearly, Govinda believes in showing his mature side to Varun Dhawan.
