Guntur: Former minister and senior Telugu Desam leader, Vadde Sobhanadreeswara Rao alleged that TD government is playing mind games by using the farmland burning incidents to snatch the farmlands of anti-LPS farmers. He, along with social activist P. Srimannaryana, who filed petition against the government in National Green Tribunal, visited the burned farmlands on Sunday at Velagapudi of Capital Region.

The duo interacted with victim farmer G. Purnachandra Rao and collected the details of the incident. Mr Sobhanadeswara Rao alleged that last December, farms of anti-LPS was razed but the police did not take any action till now.

Meanwhile, Mr Srimannaryana said that the entire episode was a game plan of the government to terrify the anti-LPS farmers to collect their lands under LPS.

He claimed that there are 10 to 20 anti-LPS farmers in every village of the Capital Region and they are facing sleepless nights to protect their farmlands. The duo leaders demanded the state government to give Rs 5 lakh compensation.
