Sri Lanka to free 86 fishermen on October 28
Tamil Nadu would also release two Sri Lankan fishermen in its custody on the same day

Chennai: As many as 86 fishermen from Tamil Nadu who were arrested by the Sri Lankan navy over the last couple of months will be released on Oct. 28, a state government press release said Sunday.
Tamil Nadu would also release two Sri Lankan fishermen in its custody on the same day. “The Union government has informed that Sri Lanka would release 86 fishermen on Oct. 28,” said the official release which said the Chief Minister Jayalalithaa had ordered all steps to bring them back.
Meanwhile, all the fishermen's association in Rameswaram decided to call off their two-day old "indefinite strike" following the state government's announcement on the release of all arrested fishermen by Sri Lanka.
