Why are Lalu, Nitish not sharing dias with Rahul, asks Sushil Kumar Modi
Modi alleged that the grand alliance was facing trouble even before Bihar polls ended
Patna: Apparently seeking to drive a wedge in the secular alliance, former Bihar deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi on Monday wondered why secular alliance stalwards Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad were not sharing dias with Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi during his election rallies in Bihar.
"Why are the leading actors of a 'divided' secular alliance not sharing dias with Rahul Gandhi during his election rallies in Bihar in contrast to the NDA where the leaders of various allies are being seen together at rallies?" he said in a statement.
Claiming that Kumar and Prasad have decided to maintain a calculated distance from Gandhi, Modi alleged that all was not well in the grand alliane even before the conclusion of the poll process in Bihar.
Taking potshot at discordance in the secular alliance, he said the coalition had collapsed a long ago when the SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and the NCP leader Tariq Anwar bid good bye by expressing dissatisfaction over seat sharing.
