Hyderabad: The AP government is collecting department-wise information on shifting of employees to the new capital region, after Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu put June 2016 as deadline for the same. The government issued a circular on Monday to secretaries of all departments, asking them to send before this month-end the department-wise position on shifting of employees to new capital region.
In specific, the government wants each department to send information about existing number of employees at the Secretariat and at the Head of the Department (HoD), the number of employees so far shifted to Capital Region and the future plan of action for shifting the remaining employees.
Secretaries have been asked to explain in brief the plan of action in these respects. They should also list out and name all the HoDs in their respective departments. In the case of employees who have not shifted to the new capital region, the secretaries would explain the plan for shifting, specifying the date of partial shifting and the date on which shifting would be completed.
Chief secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao is holding a meeting with secretaries to discuss the issue on Octob-er 31. Secretaries will have to provide the required information before this date. Meanwhile, the AP finance department has asked all its employees to shift to the new capital region by end of November 2015. The Chief Minister had said at a review meeting two days ago that all the departments should shift to Vijayawada by June-end.
