Hyderabad: Vicco, India’s one of the oldest brands, has joined the top 3 league in oral hygiene, a survey on Most Attractive Brands revealed. “When people become successful, they tend to become less objective. They often substitute their own judgement for what the market wants. However, in case of Vicco, it is correctly producing and supplying safe and quality natural products to its valued customers,” the company said in a statement.

According to Vicco, the acceptability of its products is increasing among consumers as they get more “quality conscious and choose safe products for their daily use.” “It is better to be safe than sorry. Our customers are quality conscious and so are we,” said Mr Sanjeev Pendharkar, director of Vicco Laboratories.

The company said more and more people are opting for products from the ayurvedic or herbal source, instead of those which have chemicals. The company said the Triclosan containing toothpastes are banned by not just by India but also by US FDA due to its side effects.

Consumers are also reluctant to use fluoride containing toothpastes. “As children tend to swallow the toothpaste containing fluoride, a large numbers of children are affected by disorder of skeleton fluorosis caused due to use of fluoride toothpaste,” the company said.
