Bengaluru: Rubbishing the allegations that he had not provided his PAN card details during elections, Mayor Manjunath Reddy released a set of documents to prove that he was not guilty. Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, Mr Reddy said that ARHPR 1440H was his PAN number and the same was provided in his affidavit.
“I have several bank accounts and I have provided the details of my PAN card along with all the bank account details. Advocate Amruthesh is trying to tarnish my image by making baseless allegations against me,” he said, suggesting the advocate could use his time constructively by contributing ideas for city’s development.
Mr Reddy further said that he was not aware how Mr Amruthesh had gained access to the documents which did not have Mr Reddy’s PAN details. “While filing my nomination papers I have provided complete details of my family properties, bank details and other related documents. All my documents are genuine and there’s nothing hidden,” he maintained. Mr Reddy added that he was in politics from the last 25 years and there was not even a single criminal case against him.
