Telangana: Cabbies want tax reduced

Hyderabad: Cabs and bus operators on Tuesday “gheraoed” transport commissioner Sandeep Kumar Sultania demanding reduction of road tax by Telangana and abolition of border tax by AP and TS by joining the agreement between the governments of united AP, Kerala and TN which ensures that vehicles plying between these states do not have to pay border tax. 
 
They demanded an immediate decrease in the pre-bifurcation rate of road tax of Rs 893 a as the state now has only 10 districts.
