Spain’s Sagrada Familia, being built for a century, enters final phase of construction

The Sagrada Familia, a massive Roman Catholic church being built in Barcelona, is now in its final phase of construction.
Once finished, the Sagrada Familia will be the tallest church in Europe.
The project is slated to be completed in 2026, coinciding with Gaudí's death centenary.
Since then, work has progressed over the decades, passing the halfway point in 2010.
At the time of his death in 1926, just about 25% of the project had been completed.
A year later legendary Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí took over the project.
Work on the church first began on March 19, 1882
The church has been under construction for more than a century.
The project’s directing architect Jordi Faulí announced in a press conference recently.
