Journalist-turned-director Raju Murugan, whose last outing was the Malavika-Attakaththi Dinesh-starrer Cuckoo, is busy working on his next film with a bunch of newcomers. We hear that the shooting began some time ago near Dharmapuri and sources say that the lead cast has mostly newcomers, which is why for the past few months, the first-time actors are being put through an acting workshop to hone their acting skills and expressions.
It’s being said that the film would be somewhat on the lines of his debut film, which was quite unconventional and distinct from the usual crop of films. Even for Cuckoo, Raju made his lead actors undergo a special workshop. The latest is that this yet-to-be-titled flick will be produced by Potential Studios that recently bankrolled the Nayanthara-Aari-starrer Tamil horror hit Maya. However, an official announcement on this is awaited and the makers are planning to announce this along with the first look designs and posters. Mean time, we also hear that Raju will be directing a film for Fox Star India, the producers of Cuckoo.
