Man held for raping minors in Hyderabad

Police rescued the two girls and their younger sister from the house

Hyderabad: Two minor girls, who lost their mother two weeks ago, were allegedly sexually assaulted by the son of the woman's employer in Vijayanagar Colony in Humayunnagar. 
 
The victims alleged that Mohammed Rizwan had raped the younger girl, aged 13, a few months ago and had tried to rape her elder sister, who is 14, on Wednesday.   
 
The family had taken shelter in the house after they had become homeless five years ago. In return, they did domestic work for the family.
 
Police rescued the two girls and their younger sister from the house. booked a case and took Rizwan into custody.
 
Police identified the employer as Abdul Mannan, who runs a travel agency near Mehdipatnam.  “The incident was kept secret by the victims due to fear,” said inspector S. Ravinder from Humayun-nagar. He said the police had handed the victims over to the child welfare department.
 
Police charged Rizwan under Section 376 for rape and Section 506.
