Telangana to sell parcels of prime land

Hyderabad: The Telangana state government on Friday issued orders putting 17 parcels of land in Ranga Reddy district and 10 parcels in Hyderabad district for sale through e-auction.

These lands, in small bits and parcels, are located in prime areas in GHMC limits. The government said in its orders that they cannot be kept vacant since they are vulnerable for encroachments.

The government, in its bid to raise revenue to implement its various welfare schemes and infrastructure projects, has decided to sell lands across the state starting with GHMC limits.

The notification will be published in prominent newspapers on Saturday and the e-auction will be held in November.
