VM Sudheeran confident of fair re-probe

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC president V.M. Sudheeran has welcomed the re-investigation in to the death of former Sivagiri mutt  supremo Saswathikananda. He told reporters at the KPCC office that he was confident that the re-probe would be fair and welcomed the government's move.

Mr Sudheeran who lauded the government’s decision said the UDF’s decided to go ahead with a re-probe to appease the sentiments of the people.

He said the government’s decision to conduct a fresh probe should not be seen as a gesture to save face in front of the public or for any other gains. Mr Sudheeran added that the government took its own decisions.
