BJP confident of win in Bihar, says ‘already have enough seats to form govt’
We will end up with two-third seats in 243-member house: BJP leader Nandkishore
Patna: Buoyed by an impressive 57.59 percent turnout in the fourth phase of assembly polls in Bihar on 55 seats, the BJP on Sunday claimed that the NDA has already attained majority in the 243-member house and was all set to get two-third seats at the end of fifth and final phase of polling on November five.
"We have already enough seats to form the government with majority upon conclusion of the fourth phase of assembly polls...by the time the fifth phase of polling gets over on November five next, we will end up with two-third seats in 243-member house," Nandkishore Yadav, who is the Leader of Opposition in legislative assembly, told reporters.
The people of Bihar have voted for change of guard as one could make out from high turnout of voters, particularly women and youths, he said and charged the secular alliance and the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in particular, with running a negative campaign in the polls to stymie development agenda of the NDA.
Senior BJP leaders Bhupendra Yadav and C P thakur also echoed similar views.
