Shebi Chowghat debuted into direction with his Malayalam film Plus Two starring Roshan Basheer. Now, he will be making his Tamil directorial debut, also with Roshan. The film titled Monndru Rasikarkal narrates the story of three hardcore Illayathalapathy Vijay fans. Roshan, Alvin Antony and Yazir will play the three lead characters and all three are Keralites.
Interestingly, the film will have two song sequences, one of which has lyrics written entirely using the names of Vijay films! “We had a female lyricist, Charu, from Thiruvananthapuram pen the lyrics for the song which is entirely written using Vijay film names. The music is composed by Ronnie Raphael. The second song in the film has been sung by Jassie Gift and it starts Chennai Ponpullare Kandikka in the style of the song Mahile Penpillere Kandikka,” explains the director.
