Comedian Kondavalasa Lakshmana passes away

The actor had been unwell for the past few days

Comedian Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao, popularly known as Kondavalasa, passed away on Monday night. He was 69. The actor had been unwell for the past few days and as his condition deteriorated on Monday night, his family members rushed him to NIIMS in Hyderabad. Doctors there, however, declared him dead on arrival.
 
Hailing from Visakhapatnam, Kondavalasa had made his debut late, with Vamsi’s Avunu Valliddaru Ishtapaddaru in 2002. The film was a hit and since then he had acted in more than 200 films as a comedian.
 
Most of his appearances were in late director E.V.V. Satyanarayana’s films. He was known for his “Aithe Okay” dialogue. Some of his popular films are Kabaddi Kabaddi, Donga Ramudu & Party, Simhadri, Radha Gopalam, Pandem, Evadi Gola Vadide, Athili Sathibabu LKG, Andala Ramudu and Andarivaadu.
