Work on mini tank bunds moves at snail’s pace
Proposals were submitted to the govt, seeking beautification of five tanks

Karimnagar: The proposed conversion of certain tanks into ‘mini tank bunds’ and recreation parks in each Assembly constituency remains on paper, even as the second phase of Mission Kakatiya is around the corner.
According to minor irrigation authorities, proposals were submitted to the government, seeking beautification of five tanks of 13 in Karimnagar district, and funds released for work on two. B. Radhakishan, deputy superintendent engineer, minor irrigation department, said that proposals of five tanks in Karimnagar Assembly constituency were finalised for the purpose.
