Police had severely barricaded the route of the march and deployed a large number of personnel
Top Congress leaders like Ghulam Nabi Azad, Mallikarjun Kharge, Kapil Sibal, RPN Singh, Rajiv Shukla, AK Antony took part in the march
After the march reached Rashtrapati Bhavan, Sonia handed over a memorandum to President Pranab Mukherjee seeking his intervention in checking incidents which are causing social divide
Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi also led the march along with Sonia Gandhi
The Congress party appealed to President Pranab Mukherjee to use his constitutional powers to end the repeated instances of 'intolerance' in the country
