The cab driver misbehaved with her when she objected to the route he had taken
New Delhi: After the Uber Cab row, Ola Cabs has now landed in controversy after one of its driver was charged for allegedly misbehaving with a woman passenger and her daughter.
The cab driver misbehaved with her on Monday night when she objected to the route he had taken.
The driver, Praveen Kumar, was booked for outraging a woman's modesty, threatening and violating a public order. He was, however, granted bail later.
A Delhi court on Tuesday sentenced Uber cab driver Shiv Kumar Yadav to life imprisonment for raping a woman in his taxi 11 months ago, observing that his acts were 'against the society' and should be dealt with an 'iron hand'.
Besides the jail term, the court also imposed a fine of Rs 21,000 on Yadav, which shall go to the victim by way of compensation.
