BENGALURU: A 31-year-old woman and her paramour were arrested by the J.P. Nagar police for allegedly stealing Rs 1.3 crore in cash from her house. Nagar second phase, and Kumar alias Kumar Gowda, 30, a resident of T Dasarahalli and a small time realtor.
Police said that Ramachandra filed a complaint on Monday stating that his relative C. Muniraju, a realtor, used to keep cash in his house and there was Rs 1.3 crore in the house. Before leaving, she had told her friend Kumar where the cash was kept and when they were leaving and returning. She had also given a duplicate key of the house to him before leaving,” the police said.
“The family left on Friday and returned on Sunday. On Saturday night, Kumar gained entry into the house and had escaped with the cash. He had thrown the clothes out of the almirah. Based on her information, Kumar was arrested '1.06 crore in cash was recovered from him.
