30 lakh excess Aadhaar cards in Hyderabad

Officials say that eight to 10 lakh of these excess enrolments are residing in Seemandhra

Hyderabad: Hyderabad apparently has 30 lakh more Aadhaar cards than the projected population. Officials say that eight to 10 lakh of these excess enrolments are residing in Seemandhra but have enrolled in the city.

According to Unique Identification Authority of India officials, Hyderabad has 1.27 crore Aadhaar enrolments as against the projected population of 97 lakh. In TS, out of the 3.72 crore projected population, 99.2 per cent had enrolled.
