I’ve always been quiet about my personal life: Adaa Khan

Mumbai: Adaa Khan is juggling two very different shows at the moment. She stars in Naagin as well as Comedy Nights Bachao.

Telling us about the first show Naagin in which she plays the titular character, Adaa says, “My character’s name is Shesha and she is out to take revenge. I’ve been given a beautiful black Naagin costume and the makeup and hair is exactly how I wanted it to be. I put my ideas together for the look and Ekta (Kapoor) ma’am approved of it.”

With Mouni Roy also in the show, isn’t she worried about being overshadowed? “The fact that there are two actresses in the same show has never made any difference to me. And besides, her character is positive, while I portray a negative character in the show.”

Being new to comedy, Adaa has been the butt of many jokes from co-comedians on Comedy Nights Bachao. Telling us about the experience, she says, “Comedy Nights Bachao is a lot of fun. I get to portray another side of my personality through the show and the jokes are not meant to be taken seriously. I’ve been attending technical rehearsals and I am getting comfortable with the genre.”

Addressing rumours that she would enter Bigg Boss, Adaa says, “I don’t know why these rumours were doing the rounds. I found it funny because I’m already doing two shows, so how will I go in the house?

What about rumours of her still dating Ankit Gera despite him cheating on her? “I don’t want to comment on that, I’ve always been quiet about my personal life.”
