UDF united, will win poll: CM Oommen Chandy

He added that the KPCC would discuss the Vigilance court verdict and the poll results

Kottayam: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Thursday expressed confidence over the UDF winning the local body elections due to the unity in the front.  
 
He was speaking to reporters at Puthupally after casting his vote at the No. 1 booth of  Georgian School in the 16th ward along with his wife Mariyamma Oommen, son Chandy Oommen and daughter Maria.
 
“The people will vote for the UDF by brushing  aside the allegations of the Opposition. The Vigilance court verdict on the bar bribe case will not be a setback,”  he said.   
 
He added that  the KPCC would discuss the Vigilance court verdict and the poll results.  Referring to the damage caused to the EVMs in Malappuram during the voting, he said the Election Commission would examine it.   
 
Other  leaders  who voted  in the district included Finance Minister K.M. Mani  at  the Alphonsa College, Pala, LDF convener Vaikom Viswan at the Kudayampady SNDP School and Transport Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan at the Government Model School, Thiruvanchoor.
