Mumbai: Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone may be at logger heads with each other, but the ‘PRDP’ stars admits that she would love to direct the actress in a film. The actress, who is all set to star opposite Salman in the upcoming Diwali blockbuster, opened up about her plans to direct a film in the near future.
Sonam, who has had her fair share of hits and misses as an actress, says she would like to make a film in the next few years. According to reports, the star already has a couple of scripts and ideas that she would like to work on. If you guessed that her film would revolve around the romance and drama genre, then you are right!
For those worried about the star’s directorial skill’s, do not be afraid, this girl comes armed with a few years of experience and knowledge of the field. Sonam had studied theatre and arts at the United World College of South-East Asia and even played assistant director to Sanjay Leela’s Bhansali for over three years.
Every director needs her muse, and for Sonam, it is her Bollywood rival Deepika Padukone. In the interview, the actress said that the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ star along with a host of other Bollywood leading ladies ‘inspired’ her to become a director because ‘they are so good’ with their work.
