Hyderabad: City TD and BJP leaders on Friday met Chief Secretary Rajeev Sharma at Secretariat and complained that minister for commercial taxes Talasani Srinivas Yadav was launching development programmes in the city without inviting MLAs of Opposition parties and thus violating protocol. They said that though home minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy was appointed city in-charge minister by the government, Mr Yadav was taking up all government programmes in the city, in violation of norms.
Mr Yadav has already come under fire from the Opposition and is facing anti-defection case for continuing as a TRS minister though he was elected as TD MLA from Sanathnagar constituency. “Nayani is city in-charge minister only in name-sake. Talasani has been participating in all government programmes in the city, claiming he is the city in-charge minister. He is pressurising officials to inform and invite him to each and every programme of the government. He is totally violating protocol norms. Not only this, he is taking up programmes in the constituencies held by Opposition MLAs and instructing officials not to invite them,” complained Maganti Gopinath, TD MLA from Jubilee Hills. BJP MLA from Khairatabad, Chintala Ramchandra Reddy said that Mr Yadav has launched over two dozen development programmes in his constituency without his knowledge.
