15 injured as KSRTC bus falls into lake

A case has been registered in Ramanagara rural police station in this connection

Police said that the KSRTC bus carrying 12-13 passengers was going from Kanakapura to Ramanagara on Saturday around 5.45 am.
BENGALURU: Nearly 15 people had a narrow escape when the KSRTC bus they were traveling in toppled and fell into a lake on Kanakapura-Ramanagara road early on Saturday morning.
 
Police said that the KSRTC bus carrying 12-13 passengers was going from Kanakapura to Ramanagara on Saturday around 5.45 am. While passing near Kotehalli, the bus driver tried to avoid hitting a biker who came from the opposite direction on the narrow road. In the bid, the driver took the bus to the left but it toppled to the lake.
 
“There was not much water in the lake and people managed to get out of the bus. All the passengers, driver and the conductor escaped with minor injuries. There were a few women passengers as well,” the police said.
 
A case has been registered in Ramanagara rural police station in this connection.
