Mumbai: Sridevi has filed a case against the makers of her comeback film 'Puli' for failing to pay a part of her remuneration. According to reports, the actress is yet to receive Rs 50 lakh from producers, PT Selvakumar and Shibu Thameens.

'Puli', which was made at a whopping budget of Rs 100 crore (approx), didn't fare well at the Box Office. Sridevi was rumoured to have offered Rs 5 crore for the film but the producers still owe her Rs 50 lakhs. She has now reportedly filed a complaint at the Mumbai Producers' Council, which in turn has been referred to the Tamil Nadu Film Producers’ Council.

Earlier, 'Puli' was in news when the Income Tax department raided the team's houses and offices were raided a day before the release of the film. It was widely reported that their bank accounts were frozen and financial dealings put on hold. This could possibly be the reason why Sridevi also has not received full payment.

Meanwhile, producer Shibu Thameens who is in the hospital for a surgery has tweeted that he will sort the money issue with Sridevi.
