Actor Tovino Thomas met with an accident on the sets of his upcoming film Style during the shoot of a chase sequence, as part of the climax scene. The incident occurred on the morning of November 8 when the car he was in, which plays a major role in the film, lost control. Fortunately, the actor only sustained minor injuries.
“We were shooting a chase sequence in Kollam. Tovino was in the car and Unni Mukundan was on a bike. During the shoot, the car skidded and crashed. Tovino ended up injuring his nose and started bleeding. We immediately took him to the hospital and fortunately he has only sustained some minor injuries. He is now out of the hospital. Everyone at the sets is safe,” says the director of Style, Binu.
However, the car itself has been badly damaged. “The car has been completely thrashed and can’t be used now. We had specially designed the shape of the car that we are using for the movie, so getting a replacement is also not an option. Since the car plays an important role in the movie, we have been forced to stop the shoot for some time. However, since we were planning to release the film in December, we want to get back on schedule as quick as we can. We have already given the car for repair and are hoping we’ll get it back in good shape soon. This was the last scene in the film and with it we would be done with the shoot of the movie,” adds Binu.
