Edapally to be enthralled

The five-day Edappally Music Festival 2015, to begin from November 15, will bring together popular musicians from across the country to perform. Organised as part of the 11th anniversary of Edapally Sangeetha Sadas, the festival will witness musical performances every day at 6 pm, beginning with a vocal concert by Arundathi Krishnan from Bengaluru on day one. She will be accompanied by A.L. Manjula Rajesh on violin, Guruvayoor Sanoj on mridangam and Thripunithura Kannan on ghatam. Music director M. Jayachandran will deliver a vocal concert on November 16 accompanied by Embar S. Kannan on violin, Mavelikkara R.V Rajesh on mridangam, Mangad Pramod on ghatam and Kadanan Anandhakrishnan on Ganjira.
Vocalist S. Malavika, who will perform on November 17, will be accompanied by Apoorva Krishnan on violin, Aneesh Krishna on mridangam and Kalamandalam Harikrishnan on morsing. Bangalore G. Ravi Kiran will treat the audience with a vocal concert on November 18 and will be accompanied by Edapally Ajithkumar on violin, Sai Giridhar on mridangam and Perukavu P.L. Sudheer on ghatam. The final day of the festival will end with a violin concert by Padma Bhushan T.N. Krishnan. He will be accompanied by Thrissur K.M.S. Mani on mridangam and Thripunithura Radhakrishnan on ghatam. The festival coincides with the celebration of Muthaia Bhagavathar Day.
