Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Monday launched a campaign of collecting dry and wet garbage separately towards making the city clean.

As per the scheme launched by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today, two dustbins of different colours would be provided to every household for collecting wet and dry waste separately.

He also flagged off auto trolleys of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal  Corporation (GHMC) for collection of garbage from houses.

Alleging that the previous governments in undivided Andhra Pradesh failed todevelop Hyderabad with due attention given to civic issues, he said his government intended to develop the city by strengthening the civic infrastructure. Rao also said two reservoirs would be built in the city to meet its water requirements.
