Khali bats for better infrastructure for wrestling in India
The wrestler was in Jammu for a district wrestling championship.
Jammu: The international wrestler from India Dalip Singh famous as 'The Great Khali' on Monday batted strongly for better infrastructure and facilities in wrestling field.
"India has a great future in wrestling but only what is required is infrastructure and facilities", Khali told reporters here.
Khali was chief guest on the closing ceremony of the ongoing Jammu District Wrestling Championship on the occasion of Mahavir Jyanti, which got underway. Laying focus on WWF type wrestling in India, Khali said that he has introduced and making wrestling more popular on WWF pattern in India.
As youth poured in to take selfies with WWF wrestler, Khali expressed happiness over grand reception and the love showered by the people of Jammu. "I am feeling honoured and great, the way I have been welcomed," Khali said.
