Fawad Khan to invite Shah Rukh to visit his hometown
The actor revealed his 'to-do' list that had SRK on it
Mumbai: Pak actor and Bollywood’s new man candy Fawad Khan has got something interesting on his to-do list. At a recent charity event, the 33-year-old actor revealed that was going to invite Bollywood’s badshah Shah Rukh Khan to his hometown!
According to reports the actor was quoted as saying, " Shah Rukh Khan is a good friend. I will invite him to visit his hometown Peshawar."
Recently both Fawad and Shah Rukh were in the news for their linkage to Pakistan. While Fawad became a target for hate tactics by local political parties, Shah Rukh was criticised for commenting on the growing ‘intolerance’ in the country. In a series of media interviews on 2 November, (his 50th birthday), Shah Rukh Khan had accepted the growing intolerance in the nation, and admitted that he would return his award as a symbolic gesture.
"Yes there is intolerance, there is growing intolerance. People put words in the air even before thinking. We keep talking about new India, but if this country is not secular, happy in its approach and allowing people to be... the youngsters are not going to stand for it. It's stupid to be intolerant," Shah Rukh said during the media interaction.
Fawad, who will be next seen in 'Kapoor and Sons,' along with Siddharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt was also threatened that his movies would not be allowed to screen in theatres because he was a Pakistani actor. This raised concerns for director Karan Johar as the star will also be seen making a cameo in his film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’.
