Shruti Haasan in Premam’s Telugu remake
The shooting of the film will start from the first week of December
Shruti Haasan, whose last outing was the Ajith-starrer Tamil film Vedalam, is playing one of the female leads in the Telugu remake of Malayalam blockbuster Premam. The latest we hear is that she will be essaying the role of a college lecturer. Sources say Shruti will be reprising Sai Pallavi’s role in the remake. “She will also be undergoing a makeover for her character. In fact, she has already started preparing for the role,” adds the source.
To be directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film is tentatively titled Majnu featuring Naga Chaitanya in the lead. Anupama Parameswaran, who was part of the original, will reprise her own role in the film. The shooting of the film will start from the first week of December. The story which traces three stages in the life of its protagonist over a decade will be produced by S. Radha Krishna.
