Mumbai: After successfully launching three devices successfully in the Indian smartphone market, OnePlus on Monday revealed the Android Marshmallow update schedule for its devices. The Chinese Smartphone manufacturer has mentioned that all their devices will get the Marshmallow update by Q1 next year.

“Many of you have been wondering about Android M and when exactly it’s coming to your OnePlus device. Although we don’t want to promise specific dates yet, we want to share some more detailed answers with you today,” said OnePlus Forum Administrator Carl in a post.

The OnePlus One, which runs on a Cyanogen OS, will be updating to Marshmallow in the first quarter of 2016 between January and March. Former technology partner Cyanogen will provide the new Android Marshmallow CM13 update. However, the community based Osygen OS update will also be delivered later.

The OnePlus 2 will also get a Marshmallow update (Oxygen OS) by the end of March next year. Additionally, the update will include the new standard Marshmallow API for enhancing the fingerprint sensor.

As far as the latest OnePlus X is concerned, the company did not give out any specific ETA, but said that the team is working hard to bring the marshmallow update to the OnePlus X, and users will be notified about a time frame later.
