CPM panel draft report calls for unity in Kerala
The state leadership should ensure unity at all cost, it pointed out
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The draft organisational report finalised by the CPM central committee for the Plenum has called for strengthening unity in the Kerala unit of the party.
The document states that the problem of factionalism has not been completely eradicated from the state unit. It is in this context that the Plenum document discusses the weaknesses faced by the party in the state and need for rectifying these mistakes at the earliest. The state leadership should ensure unity at all cost, it pointed out.
The document has stressed the need to strengthen collective leadership at all levels. It has cautioned the party members against individualism and asked leaders to avoid such "individual" line within the committees.
The party has called upon the state units to go to the masses and make interventions in a big way to increase the influence of the organisation among various sections of the society.
While lauding the victory of the LDF in the recently concluded local body poll, the central leadership has also referred to the small margin of vote percentage and cautioned against over-confidence.
The draft document which was finalised on Monday would be discussed at the Plenum to be held in Kolkata next month.
