Watch: Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar's 'Wazir' trailer

 

Mumbai: The first trailer of Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar’s thriller ‘Wazir’ is out! The film, directed by Bejoy Nambiar, will see Farhan play the role of a suspended ATS officer Daanish Ali, who strikes up a close friendship with chess master  Pandit Omkarnath Dhar.

The two-minute trailer that was launched today, paints a rather grim and gritty picture, of the film that took 5-years in the making. From what we’ve seen, Farhan is a man, robbed of his happiness, his job and wife, while Amitabh plays a man with a deep dark secret. In a bid to save 

Pandit Omkarnath from a past enemy, Daanish finds himself treading uncharted territories and dealing with a large enemy group. 

 

We also get glimpses of actors Aditi Rao Hydari playing the loving wife, John Abraham playing an army man on a special operations team, while Neil Nitin Mukesh on the other hand, plays the trouble maker. The film does take us 

 

The film has been directed by Bejoy Nambiar and has been written, edited and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The film hits theatres next year, on January 8.
