Gang had targeted a businessman and escaped with Rs 2.8 lakh
Hyderabad: Ramgopalpet police busted a gang of thieves on Wednesday by arresting four people. The gang, which would divert the attention of the victims before fleeing with their belongings, had targeted a businessman on October 19 in Ramgopalpet and escaped with Rs 2.8 lakh. Police caught the accused by analysing 60 CCTV footages.
Police officials said that accused Ratna Kumar and his brother-in-law K. Amarnath had purchased two motor cycles on OLX and had rented a flat in a posh locality in Kondapur by giving false identities as software professionals.
Accused Ratna Kumar, Sundar Raj and P. Prabhu are natives of Indira Nagar Colony, Thiruvottiyur of Chennai, while the fourth accused, Amarnath, is a native of Bitragunta, Nellore District in Andhra Pradesh.
