Nominated posts only after polls

Hyderabad: TRS legislators and leaders eyeing nominated posts may have to dig in their heels and wait for some more time, with Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao deciding to put off the exercise.
Sources close to Mr Rao said that 4,000-odd nominated posts, including chairpersons and directors of corporations, market committees and members among others would be filled up after completion of the ensuing by elections, MLCs and GHMC elections.
For over a year, party leaders eyeing nominated posts have been making the rounds of the offices of the Chief Minister, ministers, legislators and senior party leaders. Six Parliamentary secretaries who lost their jobs due to a High Court order are on top of the list besides some senior leaders.
Several legislators are waiting for chairmanship of various corporations or other top bodies which have Cabinet-like status with perks, a car and other facilities, after the appointment of singer and Manakondur MLA, Rasamayi Balakishan as chairman of Telangana Samskritika Sarathi and Pidamarthi Ravi as chairman of SC Corporation.
