Maoists release 6 TRS leaders held hostage for past two days

Maoists also sent a message to the government through them

Khammam: The Maoists have released six TRS leaders who were being held for the past  two days, in the wee hours of Saturday.

They reached to Pusuugubba village under Charla mandal after walking above six kilometers. The released leaders include Mane Ramakrishna, Bhadrachalam assembly segment incharge of TRS party, Patel Venkateswarlu and Santapuri Suresh former president and secretary of part for Charla mandal, Gubbgurthi Janardhan, Vazed mandal party former president, Dekka Satyanarayana, Venkatapuram mandal party former president and V K Ramakrishna, party leader and resident Pusugubba village.

The Maoists kidnapped them and took them to a forest blindfolded, Mane Ramakrishna said and added that the Maoists sent a message to the government through them. “Maoists wanted the government to change its policies pertaining to the encounters. If the government continued fake encounters, they (Maoists) will not hesitate to eliminate even mandal level TRS leaders”, he said.

The family members of TRS leaders received them at Pusugubba.
