While many are happy for him, there are others who may be envious of his luck. And why not—Rs 2 crore ending up in his bank account each year is not a small amount, and is only a dream for almost everyone who is struggling to make ends meet. Well, while others are working hard to make their dreams come true, this 22-year-old lad is simply lucky.

Final year science student from IIT Kharagpur Abhishek Pant was a city topper in his CBSE Std X exams and was born and bought-up in the US before his family shifted to Pune in 2006. And now he is on his way back to the US to pursue his career.

The media reported that Pant made his school and teachers proud by securing 97.6 per cent in Std X. ‘The journey from Pune to Kharagpur and Kharagpur to Google Mount View in California has been quite exciting. I had a great experience working there as an intern. A job offer is the icing on the cake,’ he said in a statement to the media.

He had to clear two rounds of technical interviews over the phone to win his internship at Google. He had to code in a Google document, after which he passed his final interview to begin his internship. He was later offered a job at the California tech giant’s company to work with the design solutions team.

Presently, Pant is not assigned with any project work as yet, but he did mention that he is looking forward to a good variety of food at the Google premises.
