Moscow: Russia's defence ministry on Tuesday summoned Turkey's military attache in Moscow after Turkey downed a Russian fighter jet in Syria, the embassy said.

An official at the Turkish embassy in Moscow confirmed to AFP that the attache had been called in by the Russian authorities over the incident but gave no further details.
