Mumbai: Everyone is down with ‘Dilwale’ frenzy ever since the film's official trailer released. Before people could control their excitement, the makers released film’s first romantic song ‘Gerua’, starring none other than Bollywood’s one of the most loved on-screen pair, Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan, which found its way on everyone’s play list.

With just few weeks to go for the film’s release, the makers of ‘Dilwale’ are all set to launch film’s second song ‘Manma Emotion’ on November 26. In this peppy dance number, we’ll see Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon matching foot steps with each other for the very first time.

In an exclusive conversation with Deccan Chronicle, Kriti Sanon shares her experience, equation with co-star Varun Dhawan and choreographer Remo D'Souza.

“It was the first song that we shot, by that time we had shot 25 days in Goa. So when we landed in Bulgaria, there were 100 cars waiting for us on the set. I had not seen so many good-looking cars in one place. There was this huge monster truck, too, the one in which Varun makes his entry in the song,” the actress said.

When asked about the song’s unique title, Kriti says, “It’s a very fun track, a funky, hip-hop kind of a track, which has a Bhojpuri line ‘Manma Emotion Jaage Re’ as the main line. Firstly I couldn’t imagine that a Bhojpuri line could sound so hip hop. Pritam da has done a fabulous job with the music.”

The actress went further on and revealed what a fun moment it was to shoot with choreographer Remo and co-star Varun Dhawan. “Remo has choreographed the song and it’s the second time I am working with him. I had shot a music video with Sidharth, which Remo sir had choreographed. When it comes to hip-hop, there is no one better than him. Coming to Varun, he is a great dancer and I don’t need to say that after ABCD 2. His energy is so amazing that you need to push yourself to get there. We had a lot of fun shooting for the song the entire day in Bulgaria. Varun used to tell me that I look Bulgarian because I was dressed like that. There were moments when Remo sir told us to just dance, let ourselves just go. Those were the best freestyle moments. They just put us in front of a lot of crowd, so you need to be very comfortable with someone to do that. We had a blast shooting that song. We were also shooting a lot of stills,” Kriti expressed.

Kriti also shared a beautiful memory with us. The actress recalled a particular shot which isn’t actually in the song. “I remember this one moment, its not there in the song, so we had to jump from this monster truck for a still. I was supposed to hold Varun’s hand and jump from it. There were these mattresses kept but Varun was more scared for me than I was for myself. He was like are you sure, will you do it? All the assistant directors also told me to not jump because Rohit sir at that time was not around. But I really wanted to do it, so Varun was teaching me how to land, as that is very important. Eventually we did it so that one moment I remember very well. Also when you are shooting a song, you bond more with everyone. Varun can be very protective and caring,” Kriti Sanon smiled.

When asked about her co-star, Varun Dhawan’s naught behaviour, Kriti said, “He has a very naughty side and he keeps pulling your leg. But there is this slight protective side to him. Like on the last day of the song, I was wearing a skirt and sitting on his lap shooting on the monster truck. So getting off the truck was little tricky so he was helping me out, he gave me his jacket to cover and all of them. So I was very impressed with Varun.”
