Attacks show yatra’s success, says Vellapally Natesan
At present, a majority of martyrs in Kannur are from Ezhava community which should change, he said
KANNUR: SNDP Yogam chief Vellapally Natesan said here on Tuesday that all political fronts are united in attacking him and his family since his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing a reception meeting organised for his Samatwa Munnetta Yatra at Talipparamba, Vellapally said an array of leaders across political spectrums including Kanam Rajendran, P. K. Kunhalikkutty and even Chief Minister Oommen Chandy are now teaming up against him and indulging in character assassination.
The collective campaign indicates the success of the yatra, he said, adding that all these parties have planned various programmes across the state to divert attention of the public.
"However, I am relieved that KPCC president V. M. Sudheeran is silent," he said. Referring to V. S. Achuthanandan's tirade against him, Vellapally said VS has launched unbridled attacks on him from the very beginning of the yatra with distorted views.
At present, a majority of martyrs in Kannur are from Ezhava community which should change, he said. The existing delivery of educational, political and economic justice, he said, is discriminatory against the majority communities.
