Hyderabad: Three people, including grandson of former Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police and Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation (TSTDC) chief Pervaram Ramulu, were killed in a road mishap on Hyderabad’s Outer Ring Road on Wednesday morning.

Varun Pawar, grandson of Ramulu, along with three others, were travelling in a car, which rammed into a truck.

Varun Pawar and his two cousins died on the spot, while another injured person was rushed to hospital. Four of them were on their way home in Barkatpura when the mishap occurred at Kokapet.

“They were on their way to Barkatpura. The driver must have lost control and rammed into the truck,” said Shamshabad DCP AR Srinivas.

The car, registered in the name of ex DGP’s wife P. Indira, was heavily damaged.

Police officials are verifying if the driver was drunk and investigation on by the Cyberabad police.
