New Delhi: Cricket Association of Bihar secretary Aditya Verma has urged the Justice Lodha Committee to maintain "institutional integrity" in BCCI and put in place reforms to keep away corrupt individuals and persons with conflict of interest from the administration of the game.

"It is submitted that in order to maintain the institutional integrity of the BCCI, some reforms may be conducted, especially in the administration of the BCCI and the grant of membership to cricket associations," Verma, who is the petitioner in the IPL spot-fixing case wrote in a letter to the Supreme Court-appointed RM Lodha Committee.

"Further, in accordance with the judgement of the Hon'ble Supreme Court, in Centre of PIL and BCCI, it is pertinent that persons who have been chargesheeted and persons who have a conflict of interest must not be permitted to be a part of the administration of the game, either at the BCCI or state cricket associations to prevent maladministration and corruption from creeping in and polluting the game of cricket," he added.
