TDP confident TRS can’t repeat result in GHMC
TDP leaders said they had only copied Mr Rao in the use of abusive language against leaders
Hyderabad: Telangana TDP leaders on Wednesday challenged Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to immediately order GHMC elections and the Sanathnagar Assembly bypoll so that it will be known whether Hyderabad voters support the TRS as in Warangal.
Party working president A. Revanth Reddy, MLAs M. Gopinath and K.P. Vivekanand Goud objected to Mr Rao’s remarks after the bypoll result on Tuesday that the Opposition should stop personal criticism against him.
TDP leaders said they had only copied Mr Rao in the use of abusive language against leaders. “We are only following you, ours is the reaction and not the action,” Mr Revanth Reddy said.
He said the government can come out with a White Paper on the dos and don’ts for the Opposition and how to cooperate with the government and they would follow it. They said Hyderabad was developed during the TD regime and now looks pathetic due to the government’s negligence.
