Sarath’s Metro titled Thennindian in Tamil
The film was well-received for its multiple narrative style
Actor-politician Sarath Kumar’s film career had taken a back seat due to the Nadigar Sangam’s recent developments and state elections being around the corner. His last release Sandamarutham released in last February. Nevertheless, one of his Malayalam films Metro where he plays an upright police officer is being dubbed as Thennindian and is slated to release this month end.
The action thriller directed by Bipin Prabhakar had Bhavana, a well known face in Tamil and M’town’s heartthrob Nivin Pauly in the lead. The film was well-received for its multiple narrative style.
Sarath’s penchant for khaki is a known thing, which started with a film I Love India. Later he donned khaki many times in films like Gambeeram, Chennayil Oru Naal, Accham Thavir , Nimirndhu Nil, Nee Naan Nizhal and also in Sandamarutham where he played a dual role. We hear the actor has dubbed his own voice for the Tamil version. Maruthi Films is also dubbing the movie in Telugu and Kannada where the lead actors enjoy a good market.
