Guntur get German help for waste treatment
A plant for solid waste management and generation of power would be set up in city
Guntur: Guntur municipal corporation will get German help towards waste management. A delegation of ‘German Engineering Solutions’ on Friday met GMC Commissioner C. Anuradha here and discussed about constructing a garbage recycling plant in the city.
Representative of German Engineering Solutions, Mr Cuerd Apple said that they came to conduct ground level study about the availability of garbage, segregation of the waste and usage of garbage to generate power.
He said that a plant for solid waste management and generation of power would be set up in Guntur by their company. Mr Cuerd said that garbage generated in Guntur can be used to generate power hence they would start a solid waste management power generation plant in the city.
GMC commissioner Ms Anuradha, while welcoming the German Engineering Solutions, explained about the availability of garbage in the city and waste treatment plant. The German company representatives gave a power point presentation about the proposed plant, usage of garbage waste and generation of power on the occasion.
